Hi!
We would like to announce that All Saab owners and their cars are more than welcome to join us in this Saab Support Convoy to be held in Trollhättan / Sweden.
No registration is necessary.
The earlier registration was just a way for us to find out approximately how many we might end up during this Saab Support Convoy.
Info (in Swedish) can now be found on STCS Webpage: http://www.stcs.nu
We are aiming for 500 Saab cars to meet up in Trollhättan.
So please tell everyone with a Saab that we would like for them to show their support for Saab and to join us during this Saab Support Convoy!

Since we have received international interest in this Saab Support Convoy, we would like to rewrite everything in English.
I can take it from the beginning.
When the news came on Friday the 18th of December 2009 about GM's plan of ordered downturn of Saab, many of our club members started to plan for some sort of meeting in Trollhättan.
Both for showing our support for the people at Saab, but also since our club members felt they needed to discuss things together with other Saab Turbo Club of Sweden people.
We felt that we couldn’t arrange a powerful meeting prior Christmas in such a short time and waited for a better opportunity to meet in Trollhättan.
Then I was contacted by Eric ' Ervani' van Nimwegen, a Dutch Saab enthusiast.
He was telling me that they would try to make a big Saab Support Convoy on Sunday the 17th of January, taking their Saabs out on the roads, showing their support for Saab and letting media know about this.
Please take a look at their webpage:
http://saab9k.nl/index_gb.htm
We then discussed it in the steering board for the Saab Turbo Club of Sweden and it was OK for us to join the Dutch initiative.
We decided to follow our club member’s proposal of meeting up at the Saab Car Museum in Trollhättan, and then drive in a Saab convoy out to Saab.
We also contacted Steven “Swade” Wade who is writing the website http://www.Saabsunited.com
We informed him about the Dutch initiative, and our (STCS) interest of following this.
Swade then announced on his site this info and we now have received response from many places around the world, that people are doing similar things, taking their Saabs out on the road and showing Saab our support.
Please also take a look at Swade’s webpage

We would be very happy if you would like to join us in this Saab Support Convoy in Trollhättan/Sweden.
And if this is not possible, we would be very happy if you arrange some similar Saab Support Convoy where you live.
Please note that we up till now only plan for us to meet at Saab Car Museum at 11.00 o clock, and then go by Saab Convoy to Saab at 13.00.
We will try to gather as many Saabs as possible at Saab in Trollhättan at 14.00 o clock.
Hopefully we have some media there that could bring some attention in the news.
Proposal of agenda for Sunday the 17th of January
11.00 Gathering at Saab Car Museum in Trollhättan Sweden.
The museum is going to be open and we can go inside to take a look at all those glorious Saabs placed inside the museum.
13.00 (Approximately - Depending on amount of cars) The Saab Support Convoy goes from Saab Car Museum with destination Saab.
The convoy will go through the town of Trollhättan out to Saab.
14.00 Saab Support Convoy arrives at Saab.
We will investigate the possibilities for selling some sort of food outside the Saab Car Museum.
From the info from Saab enthusiast world wide, we can now see that similar Saab Support Convoys are being planed and we encourages everyone to take part in the Swedish or any other Saab Support Convoy.
Please show your support for Saab!
Please help us spread the word around, and if you can’t participate in the Trollhättan Saab Support Convoy, please arrange some similar Support Convoy where you live.
Please note that the winter weather condition we now have in Sweden requires winter tires on all cars.
