How long can a Saab 2.3 liter engine last?

    Hi

Sorry to write in english here, unfortunately my swedish knowledge is close to none, I could write in german too, but I think more people will understand english.

My car has about 350.000 km on it. It´s a B235E, 2.3 LPT from 2002. The engine block itself has never been worked on.

EDIT: Meassured compression and it seems too high?

    Cyl 1, 14.5 bar
    Cyl 2, 14.5 bar
    Cyl 3, 14.2 bar
    Cyl 4, 14.9 bar

It gets full synthetic oil + filter every 10.000 km almost since new and I don´t push the engine until it´s reached warm temperature.
1 liter oil comsumption per 10.000 km.
At the motorway I drive around 3000 rpm (140-150 km/h), and never above 3500 rpm.

If I renew the chain can I expect it to last at least 500.000 km? Not sure if there are records of higher milleages on the B235 or B205 without rebuilding the engine?

There is a lot of info on the net regarding the B234 to be more durable, mostly because of the pistons, but is this also critical for the LPT cars, at less than 200 hp?

    Merry Christmas to all
