I was curious if anybody could give information about these?
I've never seen these before,but I live in the hot south of usa;
maybe they were sold in northeast usa & canada for snowy conditions...

This question i probably something larsola can tell you more about. If think he knows quite a lot about original accessories to OG900.
Try sending him a PM.
Good luck!

Hi
Actually, i've got a set of those mounted on one of my old Saab 99's. Even if there's no snow where you live, they prevent water from the windshield to flow over to the frontdoor-windows when you are driving, which could be very annoying.
I know that some words could be replaced with more appropriate words, but i'm to tired to figure out what word i should replace it with right now...
Hello!
dadasaab i have answered on your pn... and joH900 i realy think that your english words explains enough!
Best regards Lars-Ola.
That sentence alone deserves top marks! You get an A+ and pass the grade!!!Ursprungligen postat av joH900
Yes,your English very well describes how they are used, very interesting...
you don't see the smutsavvisare in my part of the usa.
Thanks for the help everyone!!!
I think it's a very rare option. I've never seen any other og900/99 with those fitted here in Sweden. Even though we (usually) have a lot of snow here in Sweden during the winter, and a lot of salted roads (which makes the car really messy), it still is a very rare occurrence here in Sweden. I think that explains how rare it is.
Thank you for the additional info!
Yeah,I thought it was a rare option.I've never seen a picture of them
mounted on a car.I think they'd look pretty cool!
I was looking through an old U.S. Saab accessories brochure and came
across a picture (maybe?), it looks like this car has them fitted:
In the catalog it calls them "window mud guards" part# 02 60 026
So I guess they were available here too,but damned if I've seen
them on anyones og900!
Here's a better photo from the kickass 900 Special Editions site:

Some "better" cars have these "rails" integrated into the original design of the windshield area. (By having the windshield recessed below the A pillars.) Take a look at Mercedes 190 or Lexus LS400 to see what I mean.
