    T7--> T5?

    Hello all,

    I got a 9-3 with a broken T7 engine

    Is it possible to fit a T5 engine without touching the wireloom, so that it runs on the t7 software?

    Or if anyone has a spare B205X engine, please pm me as they are hard to find over here.

    Sure.. a T5 engine will run with the T7 software.. and you have a much better engine to start off with if you're thinking of upgrading it...

    Hi,

    Thank you for the answers

    @ dr boost: I want to do it the other way around, run a t5 engine in a t7 car. The t7 wiring harness is already in the car since it is a MY01.

    That's what he's saying... if you have a T7 car with the T7 wiring. You'll be ok with just getting a T5 engine... go for it...

    Sorry for the english, didn't know it would be a problem. I only posted here, since this kind of questions are left unanswerred on other forums.

    I am from Belgium and my swedish is limited to converting kronor to euro

    Anyway, thanks for the advice, I will go shopping for a T5 engine

    It isn´t a problem but I thought it was a bit strange that you manage to get to the right forum.

    Motor och motorstyrning

    Engine in dutch is motor , the other word in dutch is motorsturing, so it was quite easy to translate. Another member also linked to this forum.
