"Concerning your winding down circus in Saab Automobile in Trollhättan, Sweden.
You have had at least 4 bids from companies with “big muscles”. Bigger than your GM really have today. The reality is that your
government, and the taxpayers really own you. (GM is I reality a empty box, whit out the US Government and the US tax payers money).
Why play theatre and winding down the last respect GM have today?
At point after the point you are losers in comparison to Ford.
Ford have, in the last years, sold a number of companies and car brands. – And earned some $ in those affairs. – Also FOMOCO had keep up their apperiance an still have a good reputation.
You have, until today, since early 1920 just only winding down car brands, then changing plates between , for ex. Opel, Vauxhall, Holden and named the new models for a “new car”.
Please, I don’t have to explain any further?
Look at Ford, and understand how to do for keep up the brand’s faces and confidence on the auto market.
Ford have sold out all of the non US brands in dash. – But GM only have had to close and wind down brands. In my eyes it doesn’t look skilful at all,
There are at least 3 bidders who have more $ expendable than the GM company have available today. (Own money, not owned by 60% of the US government).
We have Merbanco, a financial group behind AGCO, one of the biggest companies in the world for full-line agricultural equipment manufacturer. Their brands are sold in more than 140 countries through one of the largest distribution networks in the industry and are led by these four core global brands:
Challenger
Fendt
Massey Ferguson
Valtra
Also we have Genii, a company that exceed new technology to the automotive industry. In company with Genii you have the “mogule” Mr Bernie Ecclestone, the owner of Formula One Racing for decades, also he own several rights in other racing tournaments world over.
Maybe he can wind down NASCAR or other US tournaments that Chevy’s or Cadillac’s are involved, I don’t know, but that can be a fact. I’m not ominous but I can see a threat from Mr Ecclestone as a possibility in the future. How to deal with Mr Motorsport No1 in the world? No TV from NASCAR, no advertising from Chevy, Cadillac or any GM brand in motorsports? I don’t know, but it can be a reality if you wind down Saab Automobile at wrong purposes. (Read double agenda).
Spyker, as the 3’d bidder, also, probably, have much more money than GM have today. (Remember all GM money is loan from US government).
If you don’t accept any of the bidders above, the whole world will understand that GM from the beginning had a “double agenda”. IF so- Good Night General Motors and I will hope that Mr Durant can sleep good where he are, otherwise I suggest Mr Durant to home seek you an get you to explain what you had done to his “old baby”. BUUH!
Please forward this mail to Mr Ed Whitacre and Mr Chris Liddell"
