Dear Saab Enthusiast,

The 2008 North American International Auto Show, marks its 101st anniversary.

During the second week in January, Saab History has been invited as a guest of Saab Automobile & General Motors to cover this historic event. The NAIAS has been heavily hinted as the venue where a near production version of the Saab 9-4x Crossover vehicle will be debuted. It is imperative that Saab History captures the most complete coverage of this event through written, photographic and the increasingly important segment of digital video.

As a guest to this event, like the recent http://www.saabhistory.com/2007/12/1...ton-auto-show/North American Debut of the Saab Turbo-X in Boston, Massachusetts[/url], I was able to film the event, thanks to Saab Dealership, http://www.saabhistory.com/2007/11/2...don-as-sponsorSaab of Hunterdon's unique site sponsorship & film coverage arrangement with Saab history. While I cannot be expected to cover this entire cost personally out of pocket, I hope that the supportive Saab Community of enthusiasts worldwide could pitch in. Remember only 14 people contributing $50 would cover this cost.

In order for Saab History to continue to provide the highest quality film coverage of this world premiere for Saab Automobile at the NAIAS in January, I am in need of your financial support with donations. Your support much like the aforementioned arrangement at the Boston Auto Show, is necessary to rent ($10,000+ retail) the same professional video equipment (on hold, awaiting a sole sponsor or enough donations), to ultimately provide the high quality footage that I took and produced at the Boston Auto Show since late November. If you are a sole sponsor, you will get maximum exposure if you would like for yourself or business. If you are a shared supporter by sending a fraction of the total needed, this exposure will be shared with other individuals, independents or dealerships as a way to thank you for your help here on the site.

The total donation or sponsorship figure I need to obtain by January 10th is $700 USD (479 € EURO, 6,616.15 SEK) which covers the entire 4-day rental cost of the equipment as pictured below. If you can chip in whatever you can, this will ensure that I am closer to this goal. Every little bit helps.

Remember the following equipment was necessary in order to provide the high quality footage at the recent Boston Auto Show as well as the one-on-one interviews as well.

The equipment includes:

Sony VX2100 Professional DVCAM Camcorder
Wireless Lavalier Microphone set for interviews
Professional Tripod
Multiple batteries

In the meantime, please click on the paypal button below, which will get you to Saabhistory.com. Once on the site, look for the same logo located in the lower-left hand side below the donations graph. This will paypal button will allow you to submit your donation to support this cause (please be sure to type "2008 NAIAS" in the subject area so I know what this donation will be going towards).

I thank you for your time and look forward to your support.
