Exporting a car from the USA

I am curious to know what needs to be done for exporting a car (newer SAAB, possibly salvage title) to EU.

Could ths be done in one (1) day? I.e. fixing all the necessary paperwork + hiring a shipping firm?

I would like to drive the car in the states (USA + Canada) before shipping it home. Approx insurance cost?

Anyone who has done this before?

(I will only be in the US for a short period hence the rush. Please note that I am well aware of all the customs + taxes being acquired)

I'm sorry I can't help more,but if you're going to be in Canada it might be worth researching which country makes it easier for export...u.s.a. can be major bitches about such things...perhaps you can contact a U.S. klassiker bilar seller there in Sverige (if the old yank tanks are still popular there?) and ask someone who has exported from usa...first-hand knowledge is always best!
