hardware/documentation for Heuschmid body kits 80's C900's

Hi everyone,

A while back I was lucky enough to score a Heuschmid body kit for a 4-door Saab C900 from an Australian Ebay seller in Melbourne (Victoria). The kit came from a company called Carshine which did a lot of Saab body kit fitting in the 80's and had the kit left over after many years!

Unfortunately, the kit didn't come with any documentation, and the mounting hardware supplied was very minimal (just a few clips and some screws), and I'm certain that's nowherenear enough hardware to mount all the moulded pieces onto a C900!

Does anyone have original instructions (preferably in English!), and/or a complete list of what mounting hardware is needed. Alternatively, does anyone have some of the kits but doesn't need the set of mounting hardware? 8-)

For those who aren't aware of exactly what moulded pieces are in the kit, have a look at this picture album which shows the pieces laid out on the grass next to one of my 4-door C900's (maybe the car I'll fit the kit too - not sure yet).

There were some discussions in local (here, here and here) and other international forums started about these kits (one big thread at Saablink.net, plus this one too), but nobody came up with any productive leads...

Given that it's 2006, I'm doubtful that Heuschmid himself would have anything left for the body kits for the 80's C900's. But if anyone has 'inside information' to the contrary, I'm interested to know! 8-)

Well, if you don't ask heuschmid you'll never find out.

He's still running his business so don't waste his time with smaltalk and he might help you. In Sweden Heuschmids were not common at all. Many more are in Germany.

Well I have now written to him (using the contact email address given on the website) and hopefully will receive a reply sometime soon. Failing that I might send a real letter in the post.

I'll keep you all posted on what happens....

Hey,

Interesting thread. I have recently bought plenty of stuff from Johann, however not for the older cars.

I have to underline the value of having patience when trying to contact Herr Heuschmid. It actually took me more than 6 months before receiving a reply, and I wrote in German every occasion. Johann is very busy (as stated above), but hang in there and keep on trying.

Otherwise I am not much of help concerning fitting the parts.
