Ah! right! A convertible is slightly different, but not much. The rod clamp has been changed and looks easier to remove.

A 2003 convertible will be a 2004 model with a 53 reg, I hope. Check the 10th digit of your VIN number. It will be 4 for 2004.

There are two types of lock. A "normal" one and one with Theft Security and either may have a security plate (mine didn't). You won't know which you have until you look. Part numbers have been superseded over the years.

BUT>>>> How do you know the lock has failed? On the earlier cars (like our 2003 saloon) most of the faults are down to poor pin connections or corrosion in the connectors. Usually the connector in the hinge. So check and clean this first!!!

Kanske är värt att rengöra kontakterna i dörren först... Men att hitta en "lågmilad" rimligt prissatt låstkista från en 2004a är inte enkelt... Så det vore ju toppen om det gick att använda en "senare". Alternativt kanske man kan slå av TSL funktionen med Tech2? Eller måste man byta låskista på andra dörren åxå då tro?
