    B206/4/5 hybrid (?)

Hallo guys, nice to meet you!

I have some questions if i may.

I want to build a b204/205 hybrid, with the T7 head, T5 bottom, T5 head gasket,

i ve been told to use the 9000's cams and Trionic7.

Not sure what engine loom i have to use (its not going in a saab ).

Also, i have a nice B206 block and crank sitting around but as i can see, doesnt

have the oil squirters that B204 has. If i drill the block, am i going to uncover those

    oil passages?

what do you think? Are these possible?

Any comments, suggestions, corrections are more than welcomed

    Re: B206/4/5 hybrid (?)

If you are to use the engine in a non-saab I would recommend not using Trionic 7. It will be a lot more work to get all the parts needed for the car to start (since they are all interconnected and needed).
A safer bet would be Trionic 5, and that has been proven to work for cars having 500hp+ without problem.

Are you reffering to the fly by wire throttle? The car has this already. Ah! i forgot to

mention that the car is an opel speedster n/a (z22se), with the f23 gearbox

    Re: B206/4/5 hybrid (?)

The problem this Trionic 7 is that there are lots of parts that the computer expects to find, and if there is no connection, then the car won't start.
My guess is that you'll need; TWICE, DICE, main instrument cluster, ABS-unit and maybe more. All of these parts talk to each other using the CANBUS.

With Trionic 5, you can just unstick the VSS-box in the program and the car starts whatever other parts are present.
The big difference is that Trionic 5 is sort of "self contained" and does not really talk to the rest of the car whereas Trionic 7 needs a lot of other boxes to feel comfortable.

    Re: B206/4/5 hybrid (?)

Late answer but i'll give it a try anyway!

I would also like to recommend using Trionic 5, Far more simple ecu system. All you need is Battery+ and a speed signal from an ABS sensor to get it to work properly.

The oil passages is located at the same position as on the B204/5 engine block so you can drill the oil feed holes in the same position as B204.

I would use an T5 head with 9000 inlet manifold, 9000 wiring loom is prefered but you could also use an 900NG loom. The 900NG loom is about 400mm longer so you can locate the ecu more properly.

    Re: B206/4/5 hybrid (?)

THANKS!!!! that was my main concerne.

I heard that the T7 head had better flow. But it will be better not to use T7 head as

i already have a T5. And if you say its preferable then, nice!

The 9000 cams are ok in T5, or just use the 900?

Is there a reason to prefer the 9000 loom? If it gives any kind of gains i will use it

if not, i ll stay put with the 900's

    Thank you, again!
